As many of you know, I have been on a leg lock kick for quite some time now. But for all the time I have spent learning different positions (and positional hierarchies), ankle locks, heel hooks, toe holds, and knee bars, I have mostly neglected the calf crush. This is somewhat odd given that in wrestling, we are used to crushing the hell out of one another's calves. So, it is a skill set we have already unwittingly added to our tool kit without realizing it or utilizing it--or, at least that's been my own experience. Bent on breaking this trend and focusing on calf slicers a bit more overtly for a while, I watched a ton of instructionals on the interwebs--per usual--and picked the videos that I found the most useful or interesting. With set up and techniques by Dean Lister, Wilson Reis, Sean Roberts, Clark Gracie, Flavio Almeida, and others, there is a lot of good stuff. So, watch, learn, and go train.
