I recently posted a three-part series here on The Grumpy Grappler that contained links to instructional videos for sixteen different versions of the lapel choke (see here, here, and here). For the past month, I have been focusing on lapel chokes with one of my regular training partners. We've really enjoyed working on these chokes--many of which are low risk in addition to being easy to set up and finish. Before we move on to the next set of techniques, I thought it would be helpful to catalogue the chokes from the earlies posts. As you can see below, while we have worked quite a bit on some chokes, we haven't really practiced some others--which is something we hope to remedy in the next few weeks. To help remind ourselves both what we've been working on and what we need to start working on in the future, I came up with the following overview. It's more for us than you. But since I thought some readers might find the overview useful, I decided to share. If nothing else, I hope you'll go check out the earlier posts and the instructional videos that are linked to therein!
That said, check out the overview (which is posted below the fold)!
