What I find interesting about this—particularly the video—is the notion that is developing on other blog discussions (but related to the same post) that the discovery that we reason post factum somehow poses a challenge to conventional subjectivity. Isn't this just a restaging of Lacan's "forced choice" in the language of science?
Also, I am not sure about the conclusion that we seem to reason post factum at all; couldn't the results that he presents be construed as support for relational ontology? In the case of the card trick, couldn't it be the case that the difference between the questions "which do you prefer?" and "why do you prefer?" reconfigures the materiality fo the object of the question?
